VA1 PDF (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a free Android application that allows you to view PDF files and images, organize documents, and perform text recognition (OCR) entirely on your device.

The only information that exists is what you choose to store on your own device.
3. Permissions We Request
VA1 PDF may request the following permissions. These are used only for features you actively choose to use and are processed entirely on your device:

You can deny these permissions. The app will still work for features that do not require them.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
- All documents, images, OCR text, extracted data (dates, totals, document types), folders, and notes are stored only on your device.
- We do not have access to your files.
- You can delete any document or the entire app data at any time through the app or your device settings.
- Uninstalling VA1 PDF removes the app’s local data.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR & Philippine Data Privacy Act)
Because VA1 PDF does not collect or transmit personal data to us, we do not process personal data on our servers.
Any processing that occurs happens locally on your device under your control. This is consistent with:
- Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations
- GDPR principles of data minimization, purpose limitation, and storage limitation
You are the one in control of the data stored in the app.
6. Your Rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act and the GDPR, you have the right to:

- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability (where technically applicable)
Since all data is stored only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly by:
- Editing or deleting documents inside VA1 PDF
- Clearing the app’s storage in your Android settings
- Uninstalling the application

7. Children’s Privacy

8. Third-Party Services
- VA1 PDF does not use third-party advertising networks.

- When you download the app from Google Play, Google may collect standard installation and device information under Google’s own privacy policy.
- If you choose to share a file using the Android share sheet, the destination app’s privacy policy applies.
9. Data Retention
- Documents and OCR results remain on your device until you delete them.
- You can delete individual documents or clear all app data at any time.
- Uninstalling VA1 PDF removes the app’s local data.
10. International Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection.
Because VA1 PDF does not transfer your documents or personal data to our servers, these rights are exercised directly on your device as described above.
